However, the Drainage Structure List appears to assign Rock Coloring, Item 212 0930, only to certain riprap/riprap bedding locations, with a total quantity of 11,032 SQYD. Please confirm if rock coloring is required on all riprap and riprap bedding throughout the project per Section 212.02.10, or only at the specific locations where Rock Coloring quantities are shown in the Drainage Structure List. Please also confirm whether Class 150 riprap ditch sections and Class 300 riprap bedding pads/buffering areas without listed Rock Coloring quantities are intended to receive rock coloring. |

This requirement would require a complete separate solar photovoltaic array then that which is supplied by the sign manufacture. Can we supply an AGM battery and simplify the system and hardware to 1 manufacture? The AGM battery will be sealed and no maintenance as specifies and simplify any required maintenance of the systems in the future. |

| Question: Under Section B. Broadcast seeding, Method C- Do the broadcast seeding areas receive the soil amendments and incorporate, ring roll the seed and then mulch and tackifier? Due to the existing vegetation it will be imposibble to use equipment in these areas and not destroy the existing vegetation. Also, hydromulching over the exstiing vegetation will coat the plants with mulch and tackifier. Please clarify. |
| Answer: Broadcast (Method C) areas do not need to receive soil amendments, incorporation or to be ring rolled. Mulch and tack need to be applied over broadcast seed. Crimped dry straw mulch may be used or a plan to shield existing vegetation may be developed. Hand work and small equipment may be used. Section 211 of the Special Provisions will be updated in a future supplemental. |
