Question: Regarding the LIDAR requirements, could you
please provide more information on the Department’s
expectations for waveform data? Specifically, we
would like to understand the intended purpose and
level of detail required for this data. |
Answer: Airborne LiDAR will be utilized for engineering mapping, following the standards established by the ASPRS. The point densities will be 10 points per square meter (with a vertical RMSE of 10 cm) for bare earth and 20 points per square meter (with a vertical RMSE of 20 cm) for vegetated areas. The horizontal accuracy will meet or exceed an RMSE of 20 cm. A fully classified point cloud will be delivered in LAS format 1.4 or higher. |
