Project Title:	Augmentation of Crew 913 for Interstate 80 (I-80) Reno Structure Replacement
Background:	The DEPARTMENT requires augmentation of crew 913 for Interstate 80 (I-80) Reno structure replacement. The project will include the replacement of seven (7) existing structures; I-770 Garson Road Overpass, I-774 E/W at Mogul Interchange, I-775 E/W at 4th Street (Lawton Interchange), and H-767 E/W at Mae Anne Avenue. These structures were identified as priority bridge replacements in the state of Nevada based on age and condition ratings. The DEPARTMENT intends to package the seven (7) structure replacements into a single Design-Bid-Build project for delivery. Each structure will be constructed with the use of precast girders to expedite durational impacts to the traveling public.
Project Scope:	Goal of the Plan - To perform professional and technical engineering services to ensure the construction of Project BR-080-1-(342) Interstate 80 (I-80) Reno Bridge Replacement Project in Washoe County is accomplished in conformance with the plans, specifications, and all other contract documents. The project is expected to start in the Fall of 2025 and conclude in December of 2027. See RFP for full Scope of Services.
Project Schedule:	Approximately two years from the date that the agreement is executed.

Question: In Section II – Minimum Qualifications, on page 4 of the RFP, number 7 states to “Provide one (1) Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector with” several certifications. After an exhaustive nationwide search, a single person with all three certifications cannot be found. Would it be acceptable to propose a firm, in lieu of an individual, who can provide the persons with the required certifications for the work being inspected or tested?

Answer: Provided the requirements for the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is met, the Department will accept a firm instead of an individual meeting the criteria.

Would it be acceptable to propose more than one inspector for this role, wherein the combination of inspectors can meet the requirement for the three certifications?

Answer: Provided the requirements for the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is met, the Department will accept more than one inspector instead of an individual meeting the criteria.

Would it be acceptable to propose an inspector who will obtain the required certifications prior to the commencement of fabrication by the contractor?

Answer: Yes, proposing an individual who will obtain certification prior to Notice of Award is acceptable.
