| Background: |
The DEPARTMENT seeks to engage qualified private consulting firms for the provision of technical services related to the Elko Nevada Rail Corridor Enhancement Project, a key infrastructure initiative aimed at improving rail network capacity and operational efficiency at the Union Pacific (UP) Elko Yard. The project includes upgrades to track, civil, structural, and signal systems to enhance operational flexibility, support future rail growth, and improve freight and passenger train movements on the Overland Route between Chicago, Illinois, and the San Francisco Bay Area in California with station stops in Elko, Nevada.

| Project Scope: |
To provide project oversight services for the Elko Nevada Rail Corridor Enhancement Project, a key infrastructure initiative aimed at improving rail network capacity and operational efficiency at the Union Pacific (UP) Elko Yard. The project includes upgrades to track, civil, structural, and signal systems to enhance operational flexibility, support future rail growth, and improve freight and passenger train movements on the Overland Route between Chicago, IL and the San Francisco Bay Area.
