Project Title:	Sustainable Transportation Funding Strategies
Background:	The State of Nevada has committed to greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets through Executive Order 2019-2022, as well as Senate Bill 254 in the 2019 legislative session. These strategies will include transportation electrification and a reduction in overall transportation energy use. The state must find a way to balance our goals with respect to climate change and reduction in GHG emissions, with the critical needs of our transportation sector. The DEPARTMENT intends to create a robust and inclusive working group to include other state agencies, elected officials, and stakeholders to evaluate and recommend potential sustainable and equitable transportation funding strategies.
Project Scope:	Goals of the plan- The DEPARTMENT is seeking support in meeting the diverse transportation needs of the state which will include, but is not limited to, the sustainability of State Transportation funding, the ability to collect, manage, analyze, and distribute those funds, as well as developing and implementing legislative strategies, and taxation analysis. See RFP for full Scope of Services.
Project Schedule:	Approximately four years from the date the Agreement is executed.

Question: Would you please extend the deadline to submit responses to this solicitation / RFP to at least April 24, 202? The RFP was published on March 16 and responses are due on April 6. This The 3 week window is very short.

Answer: We are unable to extend the deadline due to time constraints of scheduled legislative meetings, which require support from this agreement.

Question: Would NDOT be willing to remove the local preference award due to the national experience required for work like this?

Answer: Per NRS 333.3352 and 333.3354, the Local Preference cannot be removed. Please refer to the RFP, under Local Preference, Page 5, for direction on how to request the 5%.
